  1. How about a video on casseroles but use all canned/boxed ingredients? You're getting TOO HEALTHY. I need some balance. Time for a video on casseroles using some sort of canned condensed soups and such… 😃😏🤗

  2. Few tips about lasagna:
Make a tomato sauce (as for spaghetti Napoli) and spinach (with onions sweated? In olive oil as well as Béchamel sauce and layer those in with red and green alternating and adding cheese and Béchamel to every layer.
Frozen lasagna can be put directly into the oven.
When making lasagna make a big batch and freeze some (my mom always does it and that way when we don’t have much time for cooking or my brother and I are eating alone (and I don’t want to cook) we just put the frozen one into the oven.

  3. Yes to gluten free bread comparisons. Aldi has a “wide pan” GF bread that’s pretty good. If it seems dry and hard I put it in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel for 20 to 30 seconds. It comes out soft and stays that way for quite a while.

  4. People chewing you out on plastic use project their anger to the wrong direction. I mean those damn zucchinies are individually plastic wrapped, if that's not overusing plastic, then I don't know what is.

  5. What about a weekly sale meal prep challenge? It's basically how I live my menu-planning-life, but basically you can get basics like eggs and flour, but the rest of your menu is determined by what's on sale at your chosen store that week.
PS I absolutely LOVE the sass 😘

Oooh that plastic rant! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 ‘check your privilege card’ 😂 she’s spicy! 😂

  7. I like to wash and reuse my plastic ziplock bags instead of throwing them away after one use! Saves money and slightly better then throwing them away after one use!

  8. Girl you're fine, I'm not judging you about the plastic. I'm just grateful for the tips. People need to check themselves. Great video by the way.😀

Yes, would love to watch a video on the different gluten free breads. Thank you!

  10. Love the sass! Sustainability is definitely such a privilege in many parts of the world. Wondering if you've ever done a meal prep from a dollar store? Forgive me if you already have but I think that would be challenging! Dollar Tree, Dollar General, 99 cent store anything like that. Love the video!

  11. Yes please on gluten free breads..
I have been gluten free since Feb (not a fad diet.. I also can't have many other things)..
    Anyways yes please.

  12. I would love a video on gluten free breads and noodles/other options. Turns out my nephew can't handle gluten or milk, and he loves pasta and sandwiches.

Loved the breakfast cookies too! I'll have to try them out next week cause I don't have time to sit down and eat in the morning.

That sass! ❤️ I won’t lie, I would cringe every time I saw a video where plastic was used as a storage option, but like you said, not everyone can afford the other crazy expensive options. But I’m glad the ones who can make the effort to do so!

I think the important thing is just to care and not be ignorant about low-waste issues. A lot of low-waste, environmentally friendly swaps save you money as you’re not buying disposables over and over again. It’s definitely not supposed to be expensive and it definitely doesn’t have to be. It’s also good to recognize that the majority of the plastic waste is not something individual consumers are in control of…it’s the big corporations that need to be yelled at, haha.

I tend to get frozen vegetables from Target because they are usually 10 cents cheaper than most grocery stores.

  16. Yay for more planet friendly options!

For covering a bowl: you can actually buy bowl covers, either with drawstrings or elastic. I've also seen silicone options.

I would absolutely love a store bought GF bread video! Especially because I have tried a whole bunch as well. Canyon is awesome!

  18. I keep thinking my adoration of you can't grow anymore but then this sass; Im dying! Then your "please don't thumbs down" 😂

  19. Please do a gluten free bread episode. One of the hardest things to find that tastes good and does not fall apart.

  20. We're very lucky that our city has a pretty comprehensive recycling program. The only plastic they don't recycle is #6 which I've only seen on coffee cup lids. Stores nearby have drop off boxes for plastic bags.

  21. Thank you for the helpful video Alysia! That cilantro chicken looks so yummy!
If you're able to, can you please consider making a Ralph's meal prep or Safeway meal prep video? Safeway is pricey too, but they have great cauliflower pizza crusts! 🙂

  22. yes please on the gluten free bread video.LOL I don't have any of the grocery stores you have listed in my area. I live in a small town, lol. My options are local stores, WinCo and Rosauer's.

  23. Alysia telling folks to check their privilege is something I did not know I needed so very badly until this moment.

You know i love your videos. You shouldn't care about haters. And in any case the race to purism is annoying. We should be aware of the problems and doing our best. none is better than others. Every time you point finger to someone, remember, one is pointing him, but three are pointing to you. I really trust this. So keep on going. You're an inspiration to a lot of people. Thanks for your efforts!!!

Yessss!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you for the “check your privilege” comment! Shaming others for using items that help them eat healthier is not cool, the important part is that they’re trying to eat better and take care of their body. Thank you for the great meal prep ideas, keep ‘em coming!
