    I have eaten oats for breakfast every day for decades, and often for lunch and dinner because it is one of the only breakfast serials that doesn't contain added sugar or salt (or both). Yeah, perhaps compared to puffed rice that's basically air, I don't feel any benefit from eating oats, especially for feeling full longer… I am overweight, bordering obese, so it certainly doesn't help with dieting – unless one compares it to to gram by gram to something like sugar puffs.

  4. I add too much to my overnight oats but they are addicting! Crunchy PB, Nancy’s organic Greek yogurt, unsweetened almond milk, almond granola, slices almonds, chia seeds when I have them, bananas and strawberries. Makes 7-8 servings.

  5. I enjoy oatmeal made in the rice cooker with pumpkin seeds, apple and banana and a teaspoon of cinnamon. sometimes I add a little sweetener like honey or sirup but this is optional

  6. I've been eating instant oatmeal for like 3 months now the kind that comes in those paper pouches quantity 6 in a box & mix with hot water I like it & enjoy it but is it just as good as old fashioned oatmeal from the container cylinder??

  7. I take a yogurt cup, open it up, and fill the little space with oatmeal. I mix it up at the top. I eat the top half of the yogurt cup with the oatmeal in it. Then, I add more oatmeal for the bottom half of the yogurt and mix it up. Yummy!. The yogurt makes the oatmeal creamy and it already has fruit in it. You get protein and carbs, plus a dose of probiotics for your stomach. A boiled egg and cup of coffee complete the package. Two decades, so far. It also helps get you a nice poop every day. With boiled eggs cooked in advance, the meal is also quick to prepare. (2 minutes?)

  12. I use soak my oats overnight in fridge, when i soaked it i use plain yoghurt n raw honey to taste add half banana, sometimes i add any fruit

  13. In Ireland all the kids used to eat porridge (oatmeal) every morning before school. My father swore by it for keeping him healthy until the age of 82!! I love them plain, no fancy stuff for me. I did not know it was good to drink orange juice or have vit.C. My problem is I am lactose and fruitose intolerant and so vit. c is out for me. I use lactose free milk and a tiny bit of brown sugar. Lovely.

  14. Here is a health tip that will keep you from getting sick: Always eat cereal that has NOT been drenched with Roundup herbicide chemicals ! Most wheat and oats have been sprayed with Roundup (or something similar) containing the GLYPHOSATE chemical just before harvesting so that the yield during harvesting is 5% higher. That glyphosate stuff really hurts your body and causes all sorts of damage to it, including giving cancer, triggering Autism, arthritis, kidney failure, liver damage, diabetes, gluten intolerance, and the list goes on and on. So whatever you do; DO NOT BUY / EAT GLYPHOSATE in your cereal, and the only way to do that is to buy ORGANIC cereals that the grocery stores sell in their organic food section. The main way that Glyphosate messes up your body is when your body needs to build the proteins it needs to carry out chemical processes inside your body, it accidentally takes glyphosate molecules instead of glycine molecules during the construction of those proteins. Glyphosate molecules are a bit larger, so the resulting protein WON'T fit into the protein receptors inside the body, so the protein won't work, so poisons won't be broken down by the proteins, or energy won't be released by the proteins, and hundreds of other processes FAIL, and the body begins to fail itself. That is why glyphosate must be avoided at all costs.
