  3. If the Ketogenic diet doesn’t work how come the greatest basketball player of all time LeBron James uses it? He doesn’t even do it right. I noticed Tim Tebow doesn’t do it right cuz he doesn’t eat 7-10 cups of vegetables a day.

    That example they spread out is not a healthy keto diet. It should have a lot more low carb veggies, and half the meat. And cashews? Really? It’s like they didn’t research anything on current keto science before doing this show. That explanation of how it works was terrible too. Having the body in ketosis is the first step to losing weight. From there the calories must be kept in balance so the body must find part of it’s needed energy from its own storage (being already in ketosis makes that easy to do). If you eat too many calories on this diet, the body can still get all its energy from what is being eaten, despite being in ketosis. But the real key to all this (and the reason keto works so well and a lot of people don’t realize this) is that a healthy keto diet prevents insulin from ever spiking. All those low carb foods, plus a small amount of meat equal a constant low level of insulin. Eating too much meat can spike insulin as protein is turned into easy energy in the liver. When the insulin level gets too high, the body starts to store the extra energy away.

    I’m proud to say I’ve been following a healthy keto diet for three months now and I’ve lost 35 lbs. I don’t even exercise. I feel more healthy and alert than I have in 20 years.

    Ketogenic lifestyle mixed with one meal a day (intermittent fasting) will keep you lean and very healthy. Even if you're a bodybuilder. You'll look shredded.

  9. I like that you did not put any of the side effects from ketogenic diet. how do you feel misleading people to start a diet that haven't even been tested for long term use population? This reminds me of the Atkins diet a lot of hype and I can smell a lot of issues coming in the future from people using a super high fat diet did you see how much you had an olive oil to be able to do this diet that's insane you have to drink olive oil to be on this diet. go had guys you test this new trendy diet for us and if you get atherosclerosis well done please study biology next time before trying something that has an almost 100% chance of failure.

  10. Dr. Oz always seems surprised and confused when talking about keto. Doctors get very little nutritional training in med school. They know pain management. There is no money in curing people.

  13. I've been on Keto for a little less then a month and have lost almost 10 lbs. I'm less bloated and feel amazing. It was hard the first couple of weeks, but it has become much easier. My husband fell off after the first week, but is going to start again after seeing my results. This isn't just a diet anymore, this is becoming a lifestyle change. I love it.

  14. In one year Keto brought my blood pressure from 137 over 71 to 168 over 98! My cholesterol went sky high too. My doctor told me to get off it immediately. Thanks but I'll Pass.
